About me

NEAL  CORTELL,

Artist & Graphic Designer

As one of New York’s most innovative graphic artists, Neal Cortell’s designs have been described as hard-edged and vibrant. Neal creates images that promote a visual encounter between mind and eye.

You’ll find Neal's work exhibited at the National Arts Club in New York City, in galleries, museums and Boston City Hall. Most recently, he has rented art pieces to the Motion Picture Industry for use on television and movie sets.

Education and Training

Neal began his formal art training at the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts, where he studied under George Dergalis for 17 years. He refined his craft at the Art Students League in New York City with Charles Hinman.

Unique Style

Neal’s color hues and definition exhibits well in both large and small spaces. The pieces grab the viewer’s attention and draws them into his world, with strong artistic influences from conceptual artists such as Agam, Vasarely and Stella.
